All flights in and out of Gatwick, Britain’s second busiest airport, have been suspended after two drones were seen flying near the runway. Ten thousand passengers have been affected with many facing long delays. Flights have been diverted as far away as Paris and Amsterdam. Gatwick has apologized but said safety was its foremost priority.
Gatwick’s chief operating officer said drones had been spotted over the airport as late as 07:00 GMT. He told the BBC that police did not want to shoot the drones down because of the risk from stray bullets.
WTMJ4, the Milwaukee NBC affiliated television station interviewed our own Tim Tyre and John Palese about the Gatwick disruption. They assured us all that Terra Vigilis is working the problem.
